In Class Activity - Art of the Tiitle

Image
In this title reel, the font and colors match the feel and time era of the film. The credit reel continues as Austin powers movies thought the city. how i plan on using this to inspire my movie is to roll the credits during the beginning with music over it instead of at the end to make it seem more like the beginning of a film and not a short film.

Audience Engagement Research - Vampires Suck

Image
The film "Vampires Suck" is a spoof on the popular saga "Twilight". The marketing for this film was very limited; they did not do much for it. The official trailer was uploaded by Clever TV on August 3rd, 2010. Not too long after the film was released on August 18th, 2010. Other than that is does not appear that there was a ton of preparation and marketing for this article. The reason for this, i am not positive. However, not much could help this movie i think, most critics and movie review websites gave this movie a very low rating based on content. Many people where not a fan of this. Although the film was number one on August 18th, then dropped to 3rd on the 19th of August, but after the first week the film was only grossing in no more than $500 per theater. Then in July 12th 2012, rose back up to 6th and the film ended up grossing 80,547,866 worldwide.

Target Audience

For my target audience would be aimed towards the teen age bracket. Further, this would be more popular among the suburban areas with middle class and up. Geographically it would be most popular amongst cities that are further away from the coasts. This would be best for kids in middle and high school. All personal interest are targeted for this film.

Mid-Term revisions

My plan for revisions includes a lot. I plan to cut out parts of the movie that aren't needed. i also want to make it so you can hear the actors more. also for the titles i plan to change it from the rolling credits at the end and play then in the beginning of the film when Svetlana is sitting and ed is getting ready. these will improve the film because it will act as more of the beginning scenes of a full length movie.

Use of conventions

In our film in challenges the conventions of vampires . Not only is our actor tan and blonde she is also afraid of blood. This challenges the conventions of vampire films . Then for social groups represented there would be vampires and then just regular people . Then for an issue there isn't exactly an inner issue that was addressed or called to attention.
