CCR Question #4 draft

For technology we used an Iphone 6s set up on a tripod for the scene where mac and i are in the frame together. Otherwise we filmed each other. we used a macbook pro to edit on and used imovie to edit the video. In editing we cut our clips and put them together and used audio overlays to add better quality sound effects and music. We used text inserts over the video in different areas of the screen as credits.

CCR Question #3 draft

I think the movie option was going to be a little more difficult for me than the magazine option which is one of the reasons i picked it. During this process i wanted to improve my Video editing skills and i also wanted to learn more about the different kind of shots and cuts etc. that help make up a quality movie. I definitely started with little to no knowledge on camera shots prior to starting this project but working with my parent really helped me learn more about them and how to use shots to develop a story. I also think that my video editing skill improved greatly. I started with pretty basic cutting skills but i got to experiment with audio and credits which helped develop my video editing skills which was one of my goals.

For marketing now and days you typically see things along the lines of a trailer being released on the youtube page for the film. then on the same youtube channel as time goes on before the film comes out they release behind the scene footage or interviews with actors and directors up until the film itself is released. SOmething that is also very popular now and days for marketing of films is to create social media pages for the film. Things like Instagram and twitter have been utilized. For our film we will be doing all of those things. We will start with posting the tailer then as time rolls along we will post interviews and behind the scenes of the film without giving anything away. we will also utilize Twitter and Instagram to promote the film as well. Also we will have out actors post about the film to also spread the word of the new spoof.  Typically for films you see a movie theater release then 90 days late a release on DVD. Then we also found that more oft...

CCR Question #1 draft

For our film "Faint of Heart" we used conventions in a number of ways. We looked at films like "Vampires Suck" and "Scary Movie" to look at the use of conventions in film today.  For example the use of dialogue. We used dialogue to develop our story like in most films. Our dialogue specifically was used to create a somewhat satirical feeling to the film as our idea of the vampire being afraid of blood was unconventional; However it was comedic and added to the film as it was a parody or a spoof.       Next, the use of incidental music. The music choice "Man Eater" by Hall & Oates that was played in the beginning of the film was used for a number of reasons. First we choose to put music in the beginning during the parallel editing of Svetlana walking around and Ed getting ready to add a layer to those scenes because they were rather quite and dull without the music due to the fact that there was no dialogue in those scenes. We also ch...
